Product Story
AURUM applies artisanal texture to the everyday lever handle. The grip is hand-hammered across its entire surface, creating an irregular dimpled pattern that catches light and adds tactile interest every time you open a door. The smooth round rose plate provides visual contrast and ensures clean installation against the door face.
The lever is sized and weighted for comfortable operation with the return spring tuned for smooth action. Solid brass construction throughout means the texture is not a surface treatment but part of the material itself. Available in satin brass for warmth and antique brass for deeper character.
Multiple configurations available to suit different door requirements. Choose passage for general internal doors, privacy with thumbturn for bathrooms and bedrooms, or euro cylinder for external and utility doors requiring keyed security.
Where it works best
Internal doors throughout residential properties where you want consistent hardware with character. Bathrooms and bedrooms with the privacy option. Home offices. Guest bedrooms. Any internal door where the handle is touched multiple times daily and deserves more consideration than a generic specification.
Made Properly, Not Quickly
We work with specialist manufacturers who understand that hardware isn't just functional—it's the detail people notice. Some pieces are precision CNC-machined from solid brass billets. Others are sand-cast using traditional methods, then hand-finished to remove any imperfections.
The finishing process is where the real craft happens. Each piece passes through multiple stages—grinding, polishing, plating or patinating—before a final inspection under bright light. Finishes like unlacquered brass are left raw to age naturally. Lacquered finishes are sealed to preserve their original tone.
We don't hold stock. Every order is manufactured specifically for you, which means less waste and hardware that hasn't sat in a warehouse for months. It takes a little longer, but the quality is worth waiting for.
