Product Story
The RIVO Privacy Snib brings the collection\047s signature knurled texture to bathroom and bedroom doors. The thumbturn features the same fine diagonal knurling found on the RIVO Pull Handle, creating tactile grip and visual interest in a component often overlooked.
The turn mechanism is engineered for smooth, quiet operation. A satisfying rotation locks and unlocks with precision, without the cheap click of lesser hardware. The indicator clearly shows occupied or vacant status from outside. Each piece is machined from solid brass with proper weight and balance.
Five finishes coordinate with the RIVO collection and wider door furniture range: Satin Brass, Matte Black, Antique Brass, Satin Nickel, and Unlacquered Brass for those who want natural patina over time.
Where it works best
Bathroom doors requiring privacy locks. Bedroom and ensuite doors. Powder rooms and WCs. Any interior door where you want the lock hardware to feel as refined as the handle. Pairs with RIVO Pull Handles or works beautifully with other meraki. door furniture.
Made Properly, Not Quickly
We work with specialist manufacturers who understand that hardware isn't just functional—it's the detail people notice. Some pieces are precision CNC-machined from solid brass billets. Others are sand-cast using traditional methods, then hand-finished to remove any imperfections.
The finishing process is where the real craft happens. Each piece passes through multiple stages—grinding, polishing, plating or patinating—before a final inspection under bright light. Finishes like unlacquered brass are left raw to age naturally. Lacquered finishes are sealed to preserve their original tone.
We don't hold stock. Every order is manufactured specifically for you, which means less waste and hardware that hasn't sat in a warehouse for months. It takes a little longer, but the quality is worth waiting for.
