The lock variant features a discreet thumbturn on the interior side for locking, with a coin-release mechanism on the exterior for emergency access. This ensures privacy while maintaining safety.

Finishes like unlacquered brass are left raw to age naturally. Lacquered finishes are sealed to preserve their original tone.
