Product Story
An escutcheon is the finishing piece around a keyhole. This solid brass plate covers the door surface around Euro profile cylinder locks, providing both protection and visual refinement. A small detail that completes the look of your door hardware.
The design is intentionally minimal: a clean circular plate with a precisely cut oval opening sized for standard Euro profile cylinders. The edge profile is slightly bevelled for a refined appearance. Each piece is machined from solid brass for durability and weight that feels substantial against the door.
Five finishes coordinate with our lever handles and door hardware: Satin Brass, Matte Black, Antique Brass, Satin Nickel, and Unlacquered Brass.
Where it works best
Exterior doors fitted with Euro profile cylinder locks. Internal doors with mortice locks. Front doors, back doors, and side entrances. Any door where you want the keyhole to look as considered as the handle. Sold as a pair for inside and outside of the door.
Made Properly, Not Quickly
We work with specialist manufacturers who understand that hardware isn't just functional—it's the detail people notice. Some pieces are precision CNC-machined from solid brass billets. Others are sand-cast using traditional methods, then hand-finished to remove any imperfections.
The finishing process is where the real craft happens. Each piece passes through multiple stages—grinding, polishing, plating or patinating—before a final inspection under bright light. Finishes like unlacquered brass are left raw to age naturally. Lacquered finishes are sealed to preserve their original tone.
We don't hold stock. Every order is manufactured specifically for you, which means less waste and hardware that hasn't sat in a warehouse for months. It takes a little longer, but the quality is worth waiting for.
